Strength and Conditioning for Coaches
A great Strength and Conditioning (S & C) Workshop for Coaches yesterday as part of the SASP Coach and Volunteer day at Taunton School.
The main aim of the workshop was to give coaches from a variety of sports ideas of how to integrate S & C into their coaching sessions with the premise of minimal time and equipment.
After a dynamic warm up emphasising good mechanics the coaches launched themselves into plyometrics, speed and agility, core strength and flexibility. A large proportion of the exercises were designed to not only maximise performance but also reduce the risk of common injuries.
After a great effort by all the Red Arrows fly past at the end provided a suitable finish!
