Exercise Important for Physical and Mental Health

With the prospect of being at home more it has the potential for many to not exercise. It’s really important for mind and body to keep exercising. This not only helps with everyday tasks, but for those that are off work or sport it means when you go back to it, you are still in good health and fitness and able to perform.

The feel-good benefits of exercise should not be underestimated. If isolated and inside then it is really important to get those feel-good endorphins circulating around the body. The sense of achievement of doing some exercise will also help.

If you are stuck for ideas there are plenty of ideas around.
It is important to make sure that the exercise you are doing is appropriate for your level and this applies at both ends of the spectrum.
If you are used to gentle, steady exercises it is probably best to stick with that.
If you are used to high intensity sport or training, to keep that level of fitness, you need to work as hard as you usually do. This can be achieved with minimal equipment in a small space if that’s all you have.

I have been working in health and sports for 20 years with a wide variety of individuals and groups with a whole host of health issues and abilities. I have seen the huge benefit that appropriate regular physical activity has had on people.

If you have any questions please message me directly and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
