Another great strength and conditioning session this week with players from Yeovil and Sherborne Hockey Club.
A mixture of speed and agility drills, strength exercises and some prehab work.
Following a specific dynamic warm up focusing on running technique the group went into a variety of ladder drills.
The drill featured below involves 2 people running through the ladder and having to evade each other, before going down the opposite ladder- a great way to add agility with opponents to make it more sport specific.

Ladder Evasion
Utilising sticks to add rotation to walking lunges. With sticks above the head requiring greater core control. Following forward lunges they completed backward and side lunges, before lunge tag got the competitive juices flowing!
