Exercising In The Heat

Exercising in the Heat

Too hot can be dangerous:
-Nausea
-Increase workload in the heart
-Dizziness
These are just a few.
Some effects on the body:
-Decrease aerobic capacity
-Increase body temperature and sweat rate
A few tips to help you through:
-Dont stress if it’s too hot. Missing a training session will not ruin your progress
-Fluids-drinky plenty and often. An electrolyte drink may be beneficial for longer activities
-Change your training – instead of long aerobic exercise do shorter bouts and rest in the shade (sometimes mixing your training can increase the benefits)
-Exercise early or later in the day if the temperature is cooler
