An Inspiring Strength and Conditioning Workshop
A really enjoyable morning at SASP Work Force Development day delivering a new workshop-Strength and Conditioning 2. Building on previous workshops providing ideas on how to integrate Strength and Conditioning into coaching sessions with minimal equipment across a variety of ages and abilities.
We explored a range of topics from dynamic warm ups and efficient movement, balance training, flexibility, and how to introduce weight training to youngsters with triple extension movements such as a push press.
In addition we went through functional movement screening and how to adapt for individual sports.
As always a mixture of backgrounds and sports providing the opportunity to share experience’s and ideas. Everyone was active and tested my skills with their questions.
