Ballet Strength and Conditioning
Approaching her end of year ballet exams Trinity had some patella tracking issues in relation to certain ballet movements. A combination of more traditional strength exercises, along with specific ballet adaptations has resulted in both knee pain and tracking to be corrected along with the ability to perfom moves with improved form.
We used a TRX for a large proportion of training as it helps develop core strength required for ballet in different postures than those normally associated with normal gym exercises. Once her form could be maintained during controlled strength exercises these were progressed into plyometrics.
It was great to work with someone so passionate and dedicated to her activity and the benefits and progress are testament to that dedication and work ethic.
The playlist below shows just some of the exercises we did.
