McGovern and Claremont Win the Title

Congratulations to Georgia McGovern and her Claremont University team mates for winning the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Volleyball Tournament. The first team to have 16-0 programme in the lead up to the finals.
Georgia has been an integral part of the team “since the opening day, she has since split time at setter in a 6-2 system and has still tallied 660 assists on the season (7.50 per set), helping the Athenas lead the nation in hitting percentage (.296), as well as both assists per set and kills per set. She also leads the team with 39 aces and has tallied 157 digs on the year.”
A testament to her hard work, after an ACL tear and the challenges that COVID lockdowns brought to her rehabilitation that she is flourishing in this young team.
The team now go onto the regionals-good luck!
