Taunton Netball Club Jump into the New Season
Taunton Netball Club participated in some plyometric training tonight in their early season strength and conditioning session. Nearly 40 players took part working specifically on developing good jump landings to ensure minimal impact to reduce the chance of injury and maximise first step power.
Ankle injuries in particular are prevalent in netball so effective landings can help to reduce that risk. In addition to the band walks firing up the glutes, the prehabilitative process can hopefully keep everyone active for the season.
The competitive spirit came out after the passing agility drills when the relays began. A few rule bends were tried but honesty and performance won through!
Great efforts by all.
Good luck for the new season.
